I posted this on Facebook under the event for last Friday's showing:
Quote:
It's a self-described rock opera/movie musical. It has a good variation on what musical influences are contained within each song, but some include industrial, opera (of course), and a couple other genera that I simply don't know enough about music to place.
Anyhow: it is set in a near-future where genetics/operations have advanced enough that people can simply have themselves fixed.
But, miss a payment and the Repo-man comes to collect what is due. =D
Very good, a detailed plot that I'm happy to say I thought about for some time after the movie, and music that definitely grows on you the more you listen to it.
Might not be for all, but for those looking for a good movie and music, it stands well on its own rights.
The showings were awesome, and I really hope that it comes back again to the Music Box Theatre.
Cheers!
